Campers are engaged in a virtually unlimited range of activities, including arts & crafts, all types of sports, water activities, an equestrian program, broad range of outdoor activities and nature programs, plus communication & skill-building activities and programs. If desired, Speech Therapy support at camp is available too, with individual and group sessions, personalized with you to a child’s unique communication goals.

Our 2-week* sleep-away camp is located on a 500-acre, American Camp Association (ACA)-accredited facility, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina (near Asheville). SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young offers innovative & comprehensive programs for young people who stutter:

SAY: Confident Voices – After-School & Weekend Programs

Our Confident Voices After-School & Weekend program leverages the performing arts – Storytelling, Songwriting, Playwriting, Mentorship and more - to help young people who stutter develop self-confidence, build communication skills and establish crucial friendships. Created as a project-based program, Confident Voices provides kids & teens who stutter with an environment of acceptance and respect, where they can safely share their goals and ideas. The program provides a highly-individualized experience to generate the most profound results.

Confident Voices just received the nation's top honor - the the 2017 National Art and Humanities Youth Program Award, bestowed through a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), in cooperation with the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA). This award recognizes the country’s best creative youth development programs utilizing the arts and humanities to generate a broad range of successes, including increased academic achievement, high school graduation rates, and college enrollments.

Confident Voices is currently offered free of charge, in the NYC Tri-state area. Learn more at: http://www.say.org/programs/confidentvoices
